In my humble opinion the best event held during Homecoming 2009 was the Cullen, Deskford & Portknockie Heritage Group's - HERITAGE WEEK. With over 2000 visitors attending, it was certainly a big success, and proved a permanent building is needed for the Heritage Group in Cullen.  It is hoped the group can lease the Memorial Hall for a three month period this year, and we can look forward to some more excellent exhibitions.

The group worked closely with local children before the event and the community put in a great effort to produce some very decorative and detailed family trees.  A great deal of historical information was gathered in the process.

Part of the exhibition included a room with items, clothing, pictures etc. from day's gone bye.  It wasn't only the young visitors who found it interesting, and many of us remember using some of the things on display.
